If we had to choose a cultivar from Our Chapter to bestow with the descriptor of “California Cool,” it would be LA Kush Cake.
This cultivar screams Southern California, where the term “kush” is casually tossed around by west coast enthusiasts who have been ingrained in cannabis culture for decades. For us, LA Kush Cake represents the best of modern genetics, while honouring that old-school flavour.
We have Jbeezy, the cannabis pioneer and founder of Seed Junky Genetics, to thank for LA Kush Cake (and other remarkable cultivars like Ice Cream Cake, Georgia Pie, The Soap, etc.). Jbeezy has more than 15 years of experience combining and maintaining consistently high THC and high terpene blends that appeal to true connoisseurs of cannabis.
LA Kush Cake was created by combining Seed Junky’s Wedding Cake with Kush Mints.
Triangle Mints, as it was initially known, was nicknamed Wedding Cake by the Jungle Boys (renowned California breeders in their own right), because of its distinct cake frosting aroma. And like any good nickname, it stuck! Triangle Mints is a cross of Triangle Kush, a rare and closely guarded cut descending from the Florida Triangle, named after the state’s three cannabis-producing capitals: Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa.
With its high THC content, the indica-dominant LA Kush Cake was named Best Personal Flower at the 2019 Emerald Cup awards. And while awards are great, it’s the cake-like terpene profile that keeps this standout cultivar in our hand-picked collection of genetics.
Our selection of LA Kush Cake for our Our Chapter cultivars is our way of celebrating Jbeezy’s contributions to cannabis and honouring that old-school kush flavour.
Available at AGLC and can be found on shelves at other cannabis retailers.
