The Zour Apples cultivar was carefully selected as Our Chapter genetic for Natural History for a number of reasons.
Let’s start with genetics.
Zour Apples is the result of crossing two heavy hitting genetics—Plantman Jack Herer and Ethos Glue. Jack Herer was bred by Sensi Seeds and is named after the tireless American cannabis rights activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes (not to be confused with the Hans Christian Andersen folktale).
The other side of the genetic line, Ethos Glue, has just as interesting a story. Ethos Glue is a stabilized form of Gorilla Glue #4 (GG4), bred by Ethos Genetics. While GG4 has had some recent popularity, it’s surprising lineage that really sets it apart. As in, it was a truly unexpected plant. GG4 was accidentally created by Joesy Whales and Lone Watty after a change in location caused their Chem’s Sis x Sour Dubb plants to hermie and pollinate the entire room. Disappointed in the weed, Joesy and Lone gave most away, but a colleague, Mardogg, saved a few seeds.
And we’re glad they did, as it was the start of a special plant.
Our selection of Zour Apples for Our Chapter cultivars is our way of honouring the late Joesy Whales (aka Don Peabody), who passed away earlier this year. GG4 is one hell of a legacy to leave behind, and we’ll do our part by preserving and celebrating all that Joesy accomplished for the cannabis industry.
Zour Apples is available at AGLC, and can be found on shelves at other cannabis retailers.
